Start a light exercise routine. This step is very important for anyone who wants to lose weight. It does not have to be an actual tedious exercise like swimming or jogging. Avoid the steady-state jogging. If you do not see any significant results for weight loss since you started jogging, then you should move to a more challenging exercise. Jogging is a good exercise for building you cardiovascular endurance. It is not a good exercise for weight loss.

To effectively burn fat, you need an exercise which increases your heart rate to a minimum of 80% of your heart rate. This burns a large number of calories within a short time. Exercises like squats, burpees, shoulder presses, rows and dead-lifts are good for weight loss.
